Pararoos vs Canada - Saturday 30th November 2019

For the first time in 19 years the Pararoos, Australias national football team for players with Cerebral Palsy, Acquired Brain Injury and symptoms resulting from stroke, took to the field against Canada.

Players from our programs were fortunate to be offered a rare and exciting opportunity to enjoy the game and take part in game day activities.

Participants were provided free tickets to the event, gaining access to watch the teams warm up pre-game. Participants and volunteers from the Cromer Park program were able to sit pitch side as some of the Pararoos stars warmup, showing their incredible football ability and an intense focus before such a landmark game.

As the half time whistle sounded our players took to the field as half time entertainment for the 1,500 strong crowd. Our players took part in a 7 vs 7 match (reds vs blues above picture).

The day was a fantastic experience for our participants, the Pararoos players and the footballing community. The Pararoos ran out 5 - 0 winners, strengthening their chances of future progress and the inspiring the next generation of players!
